Live the life you want, your way.
With the increasing life expectancy and a growing number of retirees, there’s a major need for helping pay for medical costs that original Medicare doesn’t cover. That’s where Medicare supplement (or also known as Medigap) can help. Sometimes in this stage of life, navigating through the coverage confusion can be challenging and potentially costly. Don’t let coverage deadlines, and lack of understanding prevent you or your loved ones in need of Medicare and/or Medicare supplement from getting the proper coverage.
Yes, you know that you’re eligible to enroll in Medicare after age 65, but what’s not so well known is how to actually enroll and start receiving benefits. Call Mary Wong Ins and find out your choices for applying and receiving Medicare benefits. Learn and discuss the four parts to Medicare: A, B, C, and D. Part A covers any time you have to spend at the hospital and is often worth enrolling in even if you still receive medical insurance through your employer. Part B covers the cost of visiting doctors, but like most private insurance plans, you will be responsible for a small portion of your bill. Together, Parts A and B are known as Original Medicare, which acts as the most basic Medicare package that many people are enrolled into at age 65. And Part D, which covers prescriptions, and Part C, which typically includes Parts A, B, and D as well as additional benefits, such as vision, dental, and wellness care. Part C is known as Medicare Advantage, and while it’s available in most parts of the country, some rural areas don’t have access to it. You must also already be enrolled in Parts A and B to be eligible for Part C. Medicare Advantage plans tend to have fewer out-of-pocket costs than Original Medicare, although you are limited to in-network doctors. Let’s Chat by email
